REMOTE PIPE NAME

Purpose

Use the RemotePipeName parameter to specify the name of the transport channel in the NetBEUI transport protocol.

Syntax

<rem_pipe_name> ::=
   RemotePipeName = <string>



Semantics

This parameter sets the name of the pipe used as a transport channel in NetBEUI protocol. This name is the equivalent of a port number in TCP/IP.

The default value for this parameter is “interbas”, which is compatible with Interbase and FB1.0.

Example

The below example changes the NetBEUI channel name to “fbird”:

RemotePipeName = fbird
